Originally rooted in gaming, rewarded formats have evolved into a powerful tool across broader digital media. They offer a more engaging way to monetize audiences—especially those less responsive to traditional formats like paywalls or regwalls.
“The thing is—there’s no one-size-fits-all solution,” said Pinar. “Ultimately, you need to decide what works best for your media and your audience. However, new rewarded formats open up an additional revenue stream—one that doesn’t force a choice between content access and payment.”
